PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 30/2000(A)
SUB: PROCEDURE FOR FEEDING EXAMINATION REPORTS INTO MAIN FRAME ONLINE SYSTEM.
After introduction of EASY and E.L.F., it is notified for information of all concerned that the arrangement for feeding the examination reports in to the mainframe online system have been competed at the West Wharf whereas the similar arrangement for East Warf are underway ad likely to be completed in near future. The feeding of examination reports at West Wharf into the computer shall start with effect from 20.12.2000. The following procedure is laid down for feeding the particulars of examination reports into the computer:-
1. The Examination Computer Section Staff will feed all examination reports (both 1st & 2nd Appraisement) in the online mainframe Computer.
2. These examination repots duly signed alongwith Code No. of the E.O./A.O. will be fed after completion of Bill of Entry by the P.A./A.O. but before it is put of Charged by the Customs. The names of PA/AC concerned shall also be fed in the computer.
3. The Appraising Establishment Branch will allot unique Code No. s to all E.O. s posted at the Wharves which shall be used by PRAL for identification and issuance of passwords
4. After feeding the Examination Report by the Computer Section Staff, an E.O./A.O. posted exclusively in the Computer Section will re-check and ensure that the Examination Report has been fed properly in the online main Frame Compute and endorse his signature on the reverse of B.O.E.
5. The Computer section will work till the feeding of all the Examination reports written on a particular day compete in all respects.
6. The Computer Section shall generate a daily statement-showing summary of all Examination Reports fed into the mainframe Compute during the day for ACA Sheds.
