PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 07/2005-(PQ) 

SUB:              TRANSFER OF ADJUDICATION FUNCTIONS TO CONCERNED REVENUE COLLECTORATES.

It is notified for information of all concerned that Notification -No. SRO 08(l)/2005 dated 01.01.2005 has been rescinded with effect from 01.08.2005, which means that Adjudication Collectorate shall cease to exist from the aforesaid date. Therefore, the adjudication functions, in respect of the cases pertaining to the Port Qasim Collectorate, earlier performed by the officers of Adjudication Collectorates, shall from 01.08.2005, be performed by the officers working in Port Qasim Collectorate in accordance with section 179 of the Customs Act, 1969 and Rules & Regulation made thereunder.

2. Cases made out by other agencies (e.g. Frontier Corps, Coast Guards), authorized to operate under various relevant provisions of laws in the territorial jurisdiction of Collectorate of Customs, Port Qasim shall also be adjudicated by the concerned officers of Port Qasim Collectorate.
