STANDING ORDER NO. 12/1992(APPRAISEMENT) 

It has been observed. that Appraising Officers and other officials of this Collectorate who have been assigned the job of processing of Bills of Entry and other documents through computer have conveyed their "pass words" either to the KPO's from the Computer Bureau or other persons for doing the job processing on their behalf, it is warned that the conveying of “pass word" to other persons or even allowing other "persons" the feed any information in the terminal allotted to them is susceptible to frauds and loss of revenue, Credible information has been received that efforts have been made to play fraud with the government by certain unscrupulous persons to whom the officers of this Collectorate's have allowed to feed some information through the terminal allotted to them by using their pass word terminal

2.         It is pertinent to mention that the computer maintains the history of use of each terminal indicating the location of the terminal and the pass word of the user, it is thus imperative that no other person be allowed to use computer allocated to y officer of this Collectorate

         3.         The officers of the Collectorate of Customs (Appraisement) are, therefore, warned not to allow use of their terminal to other persons. In case of non-compliance of these strict disciplinary action will be taken will be taken against the concerned officers.
