PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 01/2006 PQ

In partial modification of this Collectorate’s Public Notice No. 08/2005 dated 03.09.2005 and in order to further facilitate the importers in particular and trade in general, following items are also included in the list of items mentioned in para (1) of the aforesaid Public Notice., which are selected for scanning and subsequent clearance without physical examination.

1.    CKD vehicles imported by recognized local assembler.

2.    Goods imported by following organization/ importers;

i)      Pakistan Railways

ii)     Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)

iii)    Pakistan Steel Mills

iv)   Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC)

v)    Karachi Port Trust.

vi)   Qasim International Container Terminals (QICT)

vii)  Relief goods imported by government agencies and;

viii) Relief goods imported by international donor agencies

2.         The above items and importers have been selected by taking into configuration the past record of importer, volume of duty and taxes leviable on these items and immediate need of victims of natural calamities.
