SUB:              Import of Polyester Fabrics from U.A.E 

There have been persistent reports that third country polyester fabrics are being imported form U.A.E by circumventing the provisions of the Import Policy Order. It is severely hurting the domestic yarn manufacturing industry, waving sector arid importers of polyester filament yarn.

2.         In order to streamlining imports of polyester fabrics from UA.E., all concerned including traders, clearing agents and terminal operators are hereby informed that henceforth import of polyester fabrics from U.A.E. will be subject to furnishing of certificate of the manufacturer. The polyester fabrics imported from U.A.E. shall be viewed to be of banned origin if imported from U.A.E. and not accompanied by certificate of the manufacturer, establishing the origin.
