            A number of Containers arriving at Port Qasim International Container Terminal are manifested in the PACCS with via port NLCCT or AICT as their Bills of Lading indicate the Place of Delivery as “Karachi”. These containers are moved to the relevant via port without the knowledge of importer and in cases of TP containers particularly, trade has to face hardship.

2.         In order to streamline this issue, it is hereby directed that all importers should ensure that their transactional negotiation with their suppliers include specific instructions regarding Port of Delivery.

i.        In case importer desires to take delivery form Port Qasim or the consignments destined for any inland Dry port, the “Port of Delivery" on BL should be “Port Qasim”.

ii.       In case the importer desires to take delivery from NLCCT or AICT, the Port of Delivery should be “Karachi (NLCCT) or Karachi (AICT)”.

iii.        In case it is a consignment destined for an upcountry dry port, the same should be indicated in the BL.

3. It may accordingly be noted that any amendment of Port of Delivery will not beallowed after 30th September, 2007.
