PUBLIC NOTICE NO.26/2007 

SUB:              GOODS DECLARATION (GD). 

In continuation of Public Notice No. 48(A)/93 dated 08.09.1993 and with a view to streamline the marking of 'Goods Declaration' (GD), processing on the day these are filed and to avoid procedural delays in examination of the goods, following an amendments/addition are made in the said Public Notice:-

a)    GDs will be marked for examination by "One Customs" without making any differentiation between AO / EO.

b)    GD pertaining to MSA, if marked to AO /EO, will be marked to MSA by DC/ AC Sheds.

c)    GD pertaining to AO / EO, if marked to MSA, will be marked to AO / EO by AC/DC Sheds.

d)    GD would be marked to the same AO / EO by AC / DC Shed who had earlier been detailed to supervise de-sealing / examination allowed under section 79(1) of the Customs Act,. 1969.

e)    In case of absence of AO / EO to whom a GD is marked by "One Customs" it will be marked to some other AO / EO by AC / DC shed.
