Public Notice No.1/2008 

SUB:  “SHOW TO   PRAL”  Transferring Indices from MCC (PACCS -System) to PRAL (One Customs - System).

Certain business processes (e.g. Deletion related SRO’s etc.) are not being dealt with by the Model Customs Collectorate (PaCCS) and the BL’s have to be transferred to PRAL system for processing / clearance. Accordingly the importers or their representatives have to visit the MCC in person for getting transferred their GDs to PRAL. In order to facilitate the importers and also avoid unnecessary movement in MCC (PaCCS) the Collectorate has taken the initiative to introduce a focal ‘email address’ which would respond to and address all these, requests on line. The following procedure is being institutionalized, which would be applicable from 15th March, 2008.

2.         Instead of visiting MCC (PACCS), the importer would email to PACCS at showtopral@ paccs.gov.pk. All requests for “Show Jo PRAL” cases would be on the following format:-

I M/s.________________________(Importer/NTN Holder) PaCCSholding NTN No._________ certify that I/We have imported a consignment having following particulars:

            VIR No. _____________________________________________

            B/L No. _____________________________________________

            MB No. _______________________(For Manufacturing Bond Importer)

Our import may kindly be allowed the “Show To PRAL” facility as it falls under one of the following conditions.

I/We are filing our request directly / through Clearing Agent having CHAL No.___________

3. AH such requests for the ‘Show to PRAL’ facility as made by traders / importers / their authorized Clearing Agents would be processed, by the designated Assistant / Deputy Collector within 24 hours of the receipt of email. In case of approval the relevant facility would be extended in the system and only in case of an objection / rejection would a response be sent back through email.
