GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN
Model Collectorate of Customs PACCS,
Custom House, Karachi.
No. 9(2)MCC/Public Notice/2006 Dated: 20 March, 2008
Public Notice No.2/2008
SUB: CALL DOCUMENT FACILATION THROUGH E-MAIL
It has been observed that the clearances of consignments often get delayed for want of import documents. Accordingly the importers or their representatives-have to visit the Model Collectorate of Customs, PaCCS in person for submitting their documents. The Collectorate is in the process of installing a ‘Document Management Module, in the system within the next few weeks. In the meanwhile with a view to facilitate Trade and to avoid unnecessary movement in the Customs Area, the Collectorate has taken the initiative to introduce focal ‘email address’ for all three Terminals (KICT/PICT/QICT) and Headquarters.
2. At the Terminals, the traders can email the documents, mentioning the Container Number, at the following address:
calldocumentsKlCT@paccs.gov.pk (for KICT),
calldocumentsPICT@paccs.gov.pk (for PICT),
calldocumentsQICT@paccs.gov.pk (for QICT).
A separate shared folder for such called documents has already been created at each terminal and is accessible by all examining officers so that the documents are available to whichever shift officer the examination is marked.
3. At the Headquarters, for assessment of imports/exports the traders can e-mail the documents, mentioning the CRN Number, to calldocumentsgroups @paccs.gov.pk. At the MCC headquarters a designated officer shall retrieve the documents from email I.D, scan the same against respective CRN’s and then, place them in the relevant shared folder which would be accessible to all assessment officers.
