PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 6/2008

SUB:              CLEARANCE OF DUMP TRUCKS SPRINKLER LORIES AND REFREIGERATED TRUCKS THROUGH ONE CUSTOMS.

In order to ensure uniformity in examination and assessment of specialized vehicles line with the mandatory standards laid down vide various judgments of the honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan Tariff/ Explanatory Notes requirement and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Commerce from time to time, it has been decided that hence forth all imported consignment of dump trucks, sprinkler lories, transit mixture lories and refrigerated trucks shall be cleared though one Customs i.e. the Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim.

2.         Importers are required to file the goods Declaration (GD) with relevant One Customs Collectorate for clearance, instead of filing CRN with the Model Customs Collectorate of PaCCS Karachi.

3.         The shipping agents are required to issue bills of lading of dump trucks, sprinkler lories and refrigerated trucks consignments as CFS /LCL cargo so that the consignments are shifted from terminals under PaCCS to KPT sheds and off deck stations for processing under one Customs/ PRAL.
