Public Notice No. 03/2010-EXP

            In order to facilitate the trade as well as to improve the system, it has been decided to implement electronic filing of Export General Manifest (EGM) for export by air with effect 1st October, 2010. Accordingly, the following Cargo Handlers are directed to file Export General Manifest (EGM) electronically in the PRAL’s One Customs System on the following format:-

(i)            M/s. Gerry’s Data

(ii)           M/s. Shaheen Airport Service (SAPS)

(iii)          M/s. Saudi Arabian Airlines

(iv)         M/s. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)

(v)          M/s. Air Blue, etc.

2.         Each cargo Handler shall obtain his specific User IDs and Passwords from PRAL Authorities for electronically filing of Export General Manifest (EGM) in the In pursuance of the instruction conveyed vide Board‘s letter No. 1(1)ERM/2010 (DA)eDox # 98599 dated 01.07.2010

PRAL’s One-Custom System.

3.         On access by the concerned Cargo Handler, the PRAL’s One-Customs System shall auto generate the already allotted EGM No. against a specific aircraft.

4.         Export General Manifest as per prescribed format shall be filed electronically by the concerned Cargo Handler on the same day (within 24 hours) of the departure of the aircraft.

 5.         On-line electronic filing shall generate onto sequenced index which shall be termed as electronically generated Terminal Receipt (TR).

6.         After generation of Terminal Receipt (TR) through electronic system, all GDs available in system which are to be accessed, whether from Custom Purpose or by Inland Revenue services user, shall be appearing with EGM number and all relevant information.

 7.         In case of non filing of Export (EGM) electronically within aforementioned stipulated period vide para 4 ante, besides initiation of penal action as per relevant Rules further clearance of cargo in respect of defaulting Cargo Handler shall be blocked forthwith.

 8.         Deputy/Assistant Collector, Air Freight Unit, Cargo Complex, Jinnah International Airport, Karachi shall personally monitor the compliance of filing of Export General Manifest (EGM) electronically and all Cargo Handlers shall continue submission of hard copy of Export General Manifest (EGM) to Gate Officer as per existing practice.

 9.         A weekly report shall be furnished on the status of filing of EGM to the Headquarter office.
