PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 03/2011 (PaCCS)

          It is hereby informed that in pursuance of Notification No. 851(I)/2011, dated 17.09.2011 & Notification No. 884(I)/2011 dated 19.09.2011 amending earlier notification No. 967(I)/2007 dated 20.09.2007, the Microclear based customs clearance system presently operating at Model Customs Collectorate of PaCCS Karachi shall not entertain VIRs of vessels berthing at QICT w.e.f 23.09.2011 (00.00 hours). The importers, Exporters, Customs Agents, Terminal Operators, Shipping Agents and other stakeholders are accordingly advised to follow the procedure laid down as under.

            Manifest Filing:

No. IGM/VIR shall be filed in MCC PaCCS for vessels arriving or departing at QICT after 23:59 hours on 22nd September, 2011.

            GD Filing:

All importers/Clearing agents shall not file GDs in PaCCS for vessels arriving/berthing at QICT after 23:59 hours on 22nd September, 2011.

Export cargo:

All the Exporters/Clearing Agents shall not file GDs in PaCCS for consignments to be exported thought QICT on vessels sailing after 22nd September, 2011. No export container through QICT shall be processed in PaCCS intended for loading on a vessel having date of sailing later than 22nd September, 2011.

Legacy Issues:

In order to facilitate trade the MCC of PaCCS shall continue to deal with ancillary issues in the pipeline relating to VIRs filed prior to the above mentioned cutoff date.
