MODEL CUSTOMS COLLECTORATE OF APPRAISEMENT
CUSTOM HOUSE, KARACHI.
No. Reg./SI/MISC/33/2012-AIB Dated:16-11-2012
PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 04/2012-(A)
It had been observed that the Customs Bonded Carrier are not filing the Transshipment Permit (TP) in its true spirit as provided in the rule 329(1) of the Chapter-XIV (Transshipment) of the Customs Rules, 2001 (SRO-450(I)/2001 dated 18.06.2001). The Customs Bonded Carrier are filing T.Ps with vague description of the goods, quantity, weight, brand, origin, value, etc. for consignment to be transshipped to up-country dry- ports which creates problems at the time of processing/ out-of-charge of Transshipment Permit.
2. Henceforth, it is ordered that the Customs Board of Carrier shall ensure that the Transshipment Permit are filed in the One-Customs Electronic System with complete description of goods (item wise), quantity, weight, brand, origin, unit value, total value on the basis of the invoice, packing list, etc. as being declared on the GDs filed for Home Consumption, Into-Bond, etc. in One Customs System.
