SUB: Implementation of “WeBOC” at Export Cargo at Air Freight Unit
In order to facilitate the public, the Federal Board of Revenue has approved the systematic roll-out of the ‘WeBOC system’ to MCC (Exports), Karachi vide C.No. 1(1)PS(MC)/2011 dated 04.07.2012. In pursuance of the aforesaid decision and in order to ensure a seamless implementation, a phased implementation approach is being adopted. The facility of WeBOC system is being extended to the exports cargo being processed at AFU, Karachi, from 25th January, 2013. Accordingly, all exporters and their clearing agents are advised to file Goods Declaration pertaining to exports, through AFU, in WeBOC system w.e.f. 28th January,2013 as after 23:59 Hours on 27th January, 2013, i.e. cut-off date on ‘export cargo pertaining to AFU shall be allowed Gate-in in One Customs System.
3. To avoid last minute delays, the Shed/Terminal Operators are directed not to certain any shipment of export cargo in One-Customs system after the cutoff date and time as all export cargo shall be handled by the MCC (Exports) at AFU, in terms of relevant Rules given in Chapter XXI of the Customs Rules, 2001 notified by the Board vide SRO 450(I)/2001 dated 18.06.2001, which apply to the clearance of export cargo through WeBOC system.
4. Similarly, all airlines are also advised to file export manifest regarding export cargo pertaining to AFU, MCC (Exports), in WeBOC system w.e.f. 28th January, 2013. The WeBOC Project Office may be contacted in case any problem is faced in filing GD and export manifest in the WeBOC system.
5. All concerned are advised to get their WeBOC user IDs issued well in time, from the Model Customs Collectorate of Customs, PaCCS, Karachi in case they are not registered as WeBOC users.
