PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 03/2013-ESTT(A)

SUB:  Setting up grievance cell at Mcc Appraisement for speedy redressal of greivaces of trade and industry.

It is notified for information of all the concerned that a Grievances Cell is hereby setup in MCC Appraisement, Custom House, Karachi, to facilitate imports carried out through East Wharf, West Wharf and Off-dock terminals i.e. AICT, BOML, NLCCT and Pak Shaheen. The Cell is to be headed by Mr. Muhammad Javed Ch., Additional Collector and would include the Traffic Manager, Karachi Port Trust and Operation Manager from each off-dock terminal and Deputy Director, TDAP, Karachi as its members. The Cell shall devise modalities for its functioning and shall meet once in a fortnight to attend the grievances of trade.

2.         Representation to the Cell may be forwarded by post to the Additional Collector Grievances Cell, MCC Appraisement, Custom House, and Karachi or by fax (021-99214172) or by e-mail (mccappkhi.customs@fbr.gov.pk). The application of the aggrieved party must contain the name of the applicant along with address (with phone / fax nos. and email address), the grounds of the grievance in brief and relevant documents / record relating thereto.

3.         The meeting of the Grievance Cell will be held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the office of the Additional Collector, MCC Appraisement, Custom House, Karachi. The grievances Cell will examine the applications received by it and seek to redress the grievance at its own level. In case, such grievance relates to any other office or forum, it shall be forwarded to the relevant office / forum, within three days of the receipt thereof.
