PUBLIC NOTICE NO.05/2005(A)

Sub:    DECLARATION/ASSESSMENT OF IMPORTED FABRICS

The following shall be deemed to have been issued at the end of para-1 of Public Notice No. 2/2005 (A) dated 18.05.2005.

2.      Customer Service Centre (CSC) shall manifest the G.D. in case importer/ clearing agent is unable to declare density terms of yarn per square inch of fabric, denier of warp yarn and denier weft yarn. The G.D. will be accepted at CSC without such information. However, examination committees shall ensure confirmation of said aspects through detailed examination/laboratory test.

3.      Aforesaid procedures shall not be applicable to fabrics temporarily imported into the country for subsequent re-exportation.
