SUB:             ROUND THE CLOCK WEB BASED ELECTRONIC FILING OF GOODS DECLARATION AT APPRAISEMENT COLLECTORTAE, KARACHI.

The Central Board of Revenue has introduced new automated systems for speedy clearances of imported goods. In continuance of bringing more facilities to the door step of importers, the appraisement Collectorate has introduced on line web based filing of Goods Declaration on a round the clock basis. This facility has already been tested for about 200 clients who were allocated unique PIN numbers for ensuring security. The Government has already amended the Customs Act, 1969 to accommodate this electronic Filing system.

2.      Those desirous of availing the facility of filing GD's over the web may either apply on the provided format available on the CBR Web site www.cbr.gov.pk or obtain the printed forms from the Customer Service Centre at Custom House Karachi.

3.         This facility stands extended to the importers/custom house agent for clearance through Appraisement' Collectorates. This is another step towards a paperless environment and effective use of computer technology in the service of trade and industry.
