STANDING ORDER NO. 10/2004(A)

SUB:              ROUND THE  CLOCK CUSTOM OPERATIONS AT KARACHI IN INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER TERMINAL (KICT).

            In pursuance of the Central Board of Revenue's Instructions to facilitate the trade and for speedy round the clock clearance of import and export cargo, it has been decided that with effect from 01.07.2004 the custom and port operations at KICT shall continue on 24hrs basis (excluding Sunday and public holidays).

2.         The Assistant/ Deputy Collector (KICT) will assign duties to the examination of staff on shift basis. There will be three shifts, 8.00 am to 6.00p.m., 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and 10.00 pm to 8:00 am. The Assistant/Deputy Collector concerned will monitor the round the clock custom operations at the terminal to ensure quick examination and clearance of the Import / export / baggage consignments.
