In order to facilitate the trade, Custom House introduced Automated Clearance Procedure (ACP) vide Standing Order No. 07/2004 dated 20.04.2003 & Standing Order No. 01/2005 dated 27/01/2005. In this system the HC GDs, eligible for ACP, were processed under ACP but this facility was not being extended in case of IB GDs. As a further step towards trade facilitation it is hereby notified that in future all the GDs of importers enjoying facility of ACP, whether Home Consumption, Into-Bond or Ex-Bond, shall be processed under ACP, if otherwise found eligible as per Standing Order No. 01/2005.
