NAB Recovers Rs8,398B in 2.5 Years — 10× Previous 23 Years

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has detonated a recovery explosion, hauling in a mind-boggling Rs8,397.75 billion from March 2023 to October 2025—a 947% surge, nearly ten times the Rs883.58 billion scraped together in the 23 years from 1999 to February 2023.

Total recoveries now stand at Rs9,281.33 billion, with another Rs2,000 billion targeted by year-end. On a Rs15.33 billion budget, NAB turned every rupee spent into Rs548 recovered—a staggering efficiency leap powered by post-amendment reforms.

Reforms unleashed:

• Complaint cells at HQ & regions, new sub-offices in Gwadar & Chaman.
• Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA) for elite training.
• Fairness shields: accused heard at every stage, identity protection until verdict.
• VIP facilitation cells for parliamentarians, bureaucrats, Business Facilitation Cell for private sector.
• Full e-office, digital witness statements, AI-driven financial forensics, high-level error-correction committee.

Frivolous complaints slashed from 2,338 to 1,639/month via ironclad screening.
