ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.85 per litre to Rs400.67 for October 30, 2026, while keeping petrol prices unchanged at Rs377.91 per litre.

According to the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government's pricing mechanism.

Following the adjustment, diesel now costs Rs400.67 per litre, up from Rs399.82, while the price of motor spirit (petrol) remains unchanged at Rs377.91 per litre.

The increase in diesel prices could slightly raise operating expenses for goods transporters, public transport operators, farmers and other consumers who rely heavily on diesel.

The Petroleum Division attributed the revision to developments in international petroleum markets, including changes in Platts benchmark prices, premiums and incidental costs.

The revised petroleum prices are effective from October 30, 2026.
